Becoming the Expressions of the Father
January 3rd, 2004
The Christian Life is not so much about the how's and wherefor's of living righteously on earth as it is about first realizing who God is and then proceeding to love Him so much that His desires suddenly become your own. When you become so acquanted with the heard of God by living so close to Him that you actually begin to feel His hearthbeat, then it is not difficult to become the expression of His love to others around you. Without that, your attemp to love will be a struggle that you will ultimately lose.

Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus Said to His disciples if anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
In today's world, it has become so easy to become a Christian. It seems like the requirement to become a Christian is just saying it. Is it that easy? Of course not, because standing for and beside God requires time, sacrifice, love, faith, and many other things. We tend to put God on the back burner, use our own judgment for everything, and even abandon him when hardship comes our way; but He says, "...let him(meaning you) deny himself, and take up his(yep, thats you too)cross..." We as Christian's don't understand that persecution is almost a requirement, because there are times we will be persecuted, there are times we have to sacrifice our own judgment and rely on God's, there are times we have to take the cruelty and hate of others, and there are just times we are living a hypocritic lifestyle, but remember... when we said we are Christians, we chose to follow Jesus Christ. So deny yourself, and take up that cross we have dropped so many times, and lets follow Him.
